Kudos to Bette Midler, who helped save the community gardens of the Lower East Side.
Back in the '70's community gardens blossomed between the Lower East Side's burnt-out buildings, but many were in desperate danger of being sold to developers... until Better Midler and her NY Restoration Project stepped in to save the day. For that - not to mention her early gigs in the gay bath houses of the East Village - we consecrated our classic veggie pizza in her honor.

I've been a fan of Two Boots Pizza for a while now, and their vegan pizza is fantastic---even though I'm not vegan! The crust is perfectly crispy, and their vegan cheese melts beautifully and tastes great. They offer a wide variety of fresh and flavorful toppings, making every bite a delight. While I love their vegan options, their other types of pizza are just as delicious. The Earth Mother, loaded with fresh veggies, is one of my favorites. The vibrant, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make dining here a pleasure. If you're looking for great pizza with plenty of options, Two Boots is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Sometimes the meat and cheese life can exhaust you, so it's nice to have a flavorful alternative! The individual slice portions are filling, the variety of flavors holds your interest, and it helps that the shop is within walking distance! Always worth the trip.
As a regular cheese-and-meat-eater, the Vegan Cleo was amazing. Cheese tasted like cheese, and the vegan sausage was well-seasoned. Yummy bell-peppers. Would recommend!!
Yes Two Boots
Two Boots is my favorite pizzeria in all of NYC, perhaps anywhere. Their vegan pizzas are incomparable to anything else that you'll get at any other Italian food establishment. I tried a few, but my clear favorite is the vegan Cleo, between vegan sausage and other yummy things, including vegan dairy, free cheese. I have been known to finish off an entire 18 inch pie by myself, and you should try to as well! Wherever you are, wherever you go, if you're anywhere even close to a Two Boots Location, do not consider eating anywhere, but there for the best pizza of all times! And don't forget those two words: "Vegan Cleo."

Super vegan is an epic veggie loaded pie. You can see and taste every individual vegetable. Real food here. Delicious. Williamsburg location rocks coming right out of the Bedford L. Love the deco and backyard here 🙂
We had the super vegan pizza and it was amazing! It's still kind of tricky to find quality vegan food sometimes and 2 boots does not disappoint. At least as good was the super friendly and efficient service! Way to go!!!!

My friend and I grabbed the vegan Larry Tate before the Father John Misty show in Prospect Park. Eating leftovers between acts was the best move ever. Delicious pizza as always. Excellent people and food.
Have to give a shoutout to the best pizza (and fave neighbor!) in the Village. Everything on the menu here slaps, but the vegan and veggie options are a gamechanger. Currently rocking with the Vegan Larry Tate (spinach, fresh plum tomatoes, and garlic w/vegan ricotta and non-dairy cheese) but the sheer variety of options makes getting a different slice during each visit the real move; always fresh and always innovative. The V for Vegan (hands down the best vegan pizza in the city) is also a classic standby, and the hot knots with jalapeno pesto are a must-have. The Cajun flavor in both the menu and the ambience really tops the experience off each time.

Best gluten-free dairy-free pizza I've ever had and I've been on the hunt for years. Absolutely phenomenal crust and combination of ingredients!!! Can't wait to have this again.

This pizza is my favorite pizza in the world! The cheese is gooey and the meet is crispy. My favorite part is the flavor punch of the soprassetta. Absolutely amazing.

The place is so on point!! I love the place from the floor to the ceiling with all the queer images... but the pizza was the best, we were looking for the vegan option, this one was really tasty and yummy. We visited from Mexico and we will return definitely just to try the other vegan options. Because there are so many!! Like vegan heaven.

We loved this place, even from your original locations in Hells Kitchen/Times Square before they shut down. We were so disappointed, but thrilled when we saw new locations popping up!! Larry Tate is a favorite and just the plain as well the spicy sauce and corn flour dough, yum yum all around!

On a hot summer day in 1973, 40 Long Island campers gathered under a tree for a local comic to entertain them. A twitchy guy arrived, turned on his tape player, and started lip-syncing to the Mighty Mouse theme song. The kids thought it was weird, but their counselor (future TB Founder Phil) thought it was genius. The comic's name was Andy Kaufman, and his alter-ego would one day be Tony Clifton. (Or was it?)
This slice is SO GOOD. The flavors work well together and the sauce is immaculate. Highly recommend if you're looking for a vegetarian-friendly pizza, especially if you like mushrooms!
This pizza is absolutely delicious. I've ordered it about 10 times because I may be addicted, but if you try the pepper sauce they put on this, you might be too. Tastebuds and wallets beware - it's hard to come to earth after this slice of heaven. But seriously, jokes aside it's a supremely good pie.
I hadn't been to Two Boots in a while, and it was every bit as delicious as I remembered it---PLUS! My cousin received incredible news in an email right when we sat down to eat, which I'm pretty sure wasn't a coincidence. The vibe in this particular Two Boots is top notch (love the decor, as always, but especially the booths), and it just felt really good to be there. The Tony Clifton (red pepper pesto & onions) is probably my favorite slice. Keep doin' what yer doin' Two Boots!! [?] ? ?

The Meg is absolutely delicious. This is my favorite of all of the pizzas at Two Boots Pizza. You can't go wrong with a pizza from two boots no matter which kind you get they are all flavorful. Delicious. Their prices are great and you can even get a slice of pizza which is also always fresh. I recommend this pizza place for anyone living here in Nashville or visiting. The Night Tripper has become one of my most adored meals at Two Boots! The wonderfully melted white cheeses, the kick/freshness in the jalapeno pesto, the tangy+chewy bite of the sun dried tomatoes, the delicious+slight sweetness of the roasted garlic. This pizza is heaven on earth with these perfectly married flavors and I'm so glad to walk in and get this personal pie, each and everytime! Absolutely divine! Thank you, Two Boots!!!

I've long been a fan of Two Boots and am thrilled that they opened on UWS! Just like the other locations, it has a colorful and fun atmosphere, and the pizza is great, whether with dairy cheese or vegan cheese. The slices are really creative and show an imagination at work that pushes the envelope of what pizza can be. And today I met the owner, Phil, who was working behind the counter and took my order. Later he came outside to talk to customers to see how they were liking it. He truly cares about his pizza! And he said vegan pizza, my reason for going, is important to them. This particular spot has a real local, neighborhood vibe and is such a great addition to the current roster of UWS pizza options. There really is nothing else like it!

The creativity that goes not only into the flavor but also the visual appeal of every one of their wonderful pizzas is second to none on the planet. I Love New York style pie and this is something different, something that always makes me want to walk into two boots and get a slice of the Bayou Beast or Mel Cooley. I love the cornmeal on the crust. I've been eating their Pizza since the late '80s and I'm glad to see they've been able to grow the locations over the years. I hope they continue to do so.
